The premise of the commercial is detailed as, “A man (Barry Alan Levine) is sitting in his living room when his wife (Gillian Vigman) brings home his contacts that were delivered to their home. He doesn’t think that such a simple service would offer his brand of contacts; he dramatically exclaims he has special eyes. Alas, it is his brand!” The agencies behind the commercial include The Richard Group, Duncan/Channon and Rain the Growth Agency.
The commercial is a well-rounded success. The first highlight is the direction of the story. From the first word shared, the blurred line between drama and comedy is established and carried right until the end of the scene. Secondly, is that without breaking from the world of the story, the message of the brand was conveyed successfully. Lastly, the commercial gives rise to the phrase which, without the context, could still serve to convey the same meaning meant in the commercial.
